Having lived in the county for 20 years, I've had plenty of experience working with auto service shops. I hate that it took me so long to find Ski Country Auto Repair because my first visit with them (which I just had) was far and away the best experience I have had in the county. I called last week regarding my car’s scheduled service oil change and since they were not familiar with my manufacturer's recommended guidelines, they contacted the manufacturer to make certain they would service the car exactly as the manufacturer recommended. They could have just done an oil change but they didn’t, they took the extra step to find out and do exactly what the manufacturer said needed to be done. This could be important if you ever have warranty issues. They also did a free detailed inspection of the car. This wasn’t just a basic checklist. Similar to some dealer repair shops I have used, they fully inspected my car providing a detailed report including both pictures and explanations. Of course lots of shops do inspections and many people (including me) believe this is done so they can identify issues and pressure you to get additional work done. Well, there were multiple items they identified that need to get fixed but they let me know that nothing was immediate and they, yes they, recommended I wait on all of them. That’s right, an auto repair shop that identifies issues but gives you honest feedback on what really is needed and when. This is a nice change from some experiences I have had previously. Finally, the cost was extremely reasonable. It is less than what I would pay at a dealer in Denver and in-line with what I would expect to pay, and what I have paid up here throughout the years. Ski Country Auto Repair is by far the best auto service shop I have encountered in Summit County and for both price and service, I highly recommend.

Ski Country is a top notch auto repair shop. I have performed maintenance & repair work on my cars for over 50 years and am very particular who repairs them. In addition to being well-trained, they have great customer service. I will definitely return when future work is required.

Really good people to work with! They helped my son out of a tight spot just west of the tunnel and even gave him a ride to his job several miles down the road. Highly recommended!

Great place to get a tune-up. Great service, price and communication about what my vehicle needs. I've been very happy with them.

Really appreciate how they went above and beyond for us. Had made an appointment to look at/fix a likely alternator for my Volvo. In the day before the appointment they had researched my vehicle and realizes they didn’t have the software to fully deal with the range of issues that could be connected to my issue. They called to let me know the day before so I didn’t waste the trip over. Unfortunately it’s something that a Volvo dealer or European car specialist needs to fix but I really appreciated very proactive and honest approach they took with it.

Scott was fantastic from the moment he answered the call, answering my questions immediately. The tow truck arrived as promised when we needed help, stranded with a dead battery. And, the service was fantastic when they completed a detailed diagnostic on the Subaru...for free! I appreciate the detailed report, with pictures. We have great confidence that all service on the Subaru in the future will be handled professionally and fairly.
