I brought my auto in to determine what brakes service was needed. I was told front axle needed pads and rotors at approximately $1000 using OEM materials and was charged for diagnostic service which would subtracted from bill. I was also told rear brakes needed similar service soon. They ordered the parts. I contacted AAA for alternate repair shop. I contacted the AAA approved service shop and was given a quote for same service at around $400. Service was performed for $438 including taxes and was told the rear brakes had about 50% life remaining. I called Ski Country and they refused to address how come their costs were so much higher and they would not return diagnostic charge.

We were able to see your vehicle almost immediately and without an appointment which is very rare. If you did not replace your warped rotors, our estimate is very close to the price you paid. We do provide a thorough and transparent estimate so that our customers are aware of the scope of work. We provide a nationwide 36 month 3 year warranty on parts and labor. Non-woman friendly business. Do not go here if you are not with a man who knows something. Totally disrespectful of women who have no knowledge. Unreal they treated me so poorly in a "service business!" Unacceptable. It's 2022. Women own cars. (And their response is false. He didn't want to be bothered with me. No integrity. Run women run from this place!!)

We spoke twice this morning, before business hours and again shortly after we opened for service. We felt due to your time constraints and your concerns, we may have not been the best fit to perform repairs on your vehicle. I wasn’t satisfied with the shop charging me $185 to diagnose the issue with my truck s as nd then telling me they wouldn’t do the repair. Forced me to have my truck towed clear into the front range! I also could have used a bit of help and advice on where to get the camper I was pulling when I broke down instead of “we’ll, you can’t leave that here!” Not great customer service at all.

Thank you Sky for your review. Many visitors to our area don't understand our parts availability. We do our very best to give our customers the best service we can offer. On occasion due to the extent of repairs, the best service is to be honest and have the vehicle taken to a location that is more suited to the customers needs. Due to the extent of repairs required to repair your vehicle, the best option was to have it towed to another location and that very well could have been the front range as most shops in our rural area do not perform the type of repairs your vehicle required. It is important to us to be able to pay our staff. In order to do so, we do have to charge for our services. Due to our very small parking area, we are not able to accommodate a large camper. We are from Iowa and were on our way to Palisades July 4th weekend when our GMC Acadia started to heat up. We stopped at the information center in Frisco and a local recommended Ski Country Auto. We were able to drive there and talk to an employee. Being as it was a holiday weekend there were no mechanics on site. We stayed in a hotel close by and my sister came to pick us up the following day. Our trip was extended due to supply chain issues, but they kept us informed and tried to get us back on the road as soon as possible. They were very professional and also very caring with our situation. I know they worked hard for us to get back on the road but also safely. Josh was great to work with and our mechanic was excellent. I just wish they were closer to Iowa!!!! They even wanted us to call them when we got back to Iowa to make sure we made it safely!! You don't find that kind of service every day! Thank You Ski Country Auto management and employees for making a tough situation halfway pleasurable

Great Shop! Open honest and fully transparent when identifying immediately necessary repairs versus maintenance items which can easily be accommodated later.

So thankful for Mike! Was stranded out in the mountains when my car battery died. Mike responded in no time at all and was friendly and awesome. Great service, highly recommend

As always, great service, but I always have questions. I miss the paper that tells me exactly what was done, 'checklist' I need 'reminders in my records, that I can refer too. Will call back for appt for things that need to be done. Thanks
